BIN 1320 AM launching today in Houston

Today marks the Houston launch of BIN: Black Information Network at 1320 AM. It's the first and only 24/7 local and national all-news audio service providing continual objective, accurate and trusted news coverage with a Black voice and perspective.

Focused on serving the Black community, the station also aims to be a source of information to those outside the community, helping to foster communication and deeper understanding.

BIN will leverage the resources and assets of iHeartMedia and, unlike traditional ad-supported media, is backed by founding partners Bank of America, CVS Health, GEICO, Lowe’s, McDonald’s USA, Sony, 23andMe and Verizon.

In addition to traditional over-the-air radio, programming is also distributed nationally through the iHeartRadio app and is accessible via mobile, smart speakers, smart TVs and other connected platforms. BIN will also provide news service for Houston's 93.7 The Beat.

The standalone iHeartMedia unit will utilize the company's already established vast resources, including news reporters located in more places than any other audio news organization. In addition, it will employ iHeartMedia’s 24/7 News Source newswire service, which provides breaking coverage to over 1,000 stations throughout the United States and Canada.

Selected BIN content will also be distributed daily across iHeartRadio’s massive podcast network, now the largest in the world.
